A crowd of hundreds applauded and cheered Saturday when two young bald eagles rescued in May in the Chicago area and rehabilitated were released at Starved Rock State Park.
“It’s a beautiful day and to see this … I wanted to see the eagles,” said Cathy Leonis of Chicago, who drove with her mother from Glenview.
