Lastly, the afternoon offered a special treat for those of us who love raptors. Dawn Keller of Flint Creek Wildlife Rehabilitation was there all afternoon with her team sharing the stories of an exquisite little falcon, a wide-eyed screech owl, and an imposing and — dare I say — imperial great horned owl. All these birds are in Keller’s education program because they are unable to return to the wild following recuperation from severe injuries.
